Real tools for managers’ mental well-being – from stress management to parenting wisdom – because leading teams shouldn’t mean burning out.

Do you often feel overcooked by people management? Like any master chef, a great manager needs the right ingredients and techniques to guide their team. But when your team’s emotions are in the mix, how do you avoid becoming toast? Let’s create the perfect recipe for sustainable leadership without burning out!

For the past 5 years, the topic of managers’ mental well-being has been one of my main focus areas. Talking with fellow managers, I have noticed that our work is becoming increasingly psychological. Yet most of us don’t have any formal training for that. Unexpectedly, recently I also gained hands-on experience recovering from a mental issue myself.

In this cooking class, we’ll whisk together:

  • Kitchen boundaries: keeping your emotional pantry stocked
  • Energy preservation sauce: mindful energy management and finding your true rechargers
  • Releasing steam before the pot boils over: stress reduction that fits into a busy schedule
  • Building your kitchen crew (aka your support network)
  • Secret family recipe: using parenting strategies for manager’s well-being

Join to create your personal recipe for a leader’s well-being – no cooking skills required!

Key takeaways

  • Manage your emotional health first to effectively support others without burning out – your state determines whether situations energize or drain you
  • Energy management is key, but everyone has their unique best way to recharge: experiment until you find your 3 go-to techniques
  • Anti-stress routines can fit any schedule – even 30-second techniques make a difference
  • Build a support network beyond advice and help. You’ll discover others face surprisingly similar challenges, which itself reduces pressure
  • Tap into parenting psychology books – they offer actionable advice and explain human behavior clearly
