What is leadership in an individual contributor role? How does it differ from being a senior engineer? This talk will describe the elusive role of being a principal/staff engineer. What success looks like and how to grow into that role as a senior engineer.
Personal reflection
After watching the talk, take a few minutes to think about the following.
- What are the opportunities for being a force multiplier that exist or I can create in my team?
- As I transition from a Senior Engineer to being an IC leader, how will I change my evaluation of a day so I do not fall back into “my output is code” mode?
