But the hard work is only starting. Keeping them happy and engaged — and responding to their mental health needs — is crucially important for your team’s success (and ultimately that of your business). In this talk, I will share a story from Hong Kong — close to the epicenter of the global coronavirus pandemic. I’ll discuss how the situation developed, how decisions were made and communicated, and about how engineering managers can support their people through a major crisis.
