Dan Lorenc

Dan Lorenc is the CEO and co-founder of Chainguard, a company on a mission to make open source software trustworthy by default. His work sits at the intersection of open source, cybersecurity, and modern defense readiness.

Prior to founding Chainguard, Dan led software supply chain security initiatives at Google, launching foundational projects like Sigstore, SLSA, and distroless containers. He has also served in leadership roles across the open source security ecosystem, including the OpenSSF and CNCF.
